The Google Job Experiment

This is an ingenious way of putting yourself out there and getting that dream job. Similar way we’ve seen people take out Facebook Ads targeting high level executives at specific companies selling themselves.

It’s so simple and clever, you wonder why you’ve never thought of it yourself.

Creative director Alec Brownstein turned his job pitch into a YouTube video and bought paid search ads promoting the video. His ads targeted only Google users searching for the names of employers from whom he wanted a job offer from.

I.e. When one of those prospective employers searched their names, they would see the ad from Brownstein. He targeted 5 prospective employers and got interviews with 4 of them and job offers from 2.

Total advertising cost – US$6. Brilliant.
